Launching our new blog
Welcome to our new blog. Since we started Ajah in 2009, we've been blogging about fundraising, the non-profit sector, and prospect research over at our main blog but now we wanted to share some of the thinking behind Fundtracker as well as the things we're learning. We have gotten up to some cool projects over the past few years with some interesting partners and we wanted to have a place to share them. Also, there are starting to be some very cool conversations happening about data and non-profits and now that we have a bit more time, we wanted to join in. Just to remind you, our backgrounds are those of engineers, community organizers - in both the non-profit sector and the tech community, venture capitalists, board members (for-profit and non-profit), web programmers and activists. Check out our About page to get more of a sense of who we are and where we're coming from.
This blog is going to be pretty informal. We will often assume a lot of knowledge, both about philanthropy and about computer science and web technology. Please feel free to ask us to slow down and answer any questions you might have. Thanks for reading!
